What we do, and how to show up.

Members get the full arc from culture to career. Here's what's running, what to expect when you walk in, and how to plug in.

Cultural events

We host heritage nights, cultural showcases, and community gatherings where members share food, music, and stories from across the African and Caribbean diaspora. Members co-create the lineup — if there's a tradition you want to bring, we want to host it.

Mentorship

We pair members with mentors in their field — matched on industry, role, and shared lived experience. Mentors get training and check-ins so it works long-term, not just a one-off coffee. Cohort mentorship runs for members who want a small group.

Professional network

Industry mixers, employer spotlights, and alumni conversations connect members to people hiring and people who've been where they are. Members get the warm introductions that don't happen through a job board.

Community support

Peer circles, wellness conversations, and an active member channel keep members connected between events. Whatever someone is navigating, there's a peer who's been there.

Workshops

Skills that compound. Taught by people who've used them.

Workshops are led by practitioners — Black professionals working in the field — not generic career-services scripts. Open to members and, where space allows, friends.

Career & resume

Resume reviews, mock interviews, and salary negotiation sessions with hiring managers from the community.

Tech & industry

Practical workshops on tech, finance, healthcare, and the trades — taught by alumni who've navigated the path.

Cultural competency

Sessions for partner organizations that want to do the work — not just put up a graphic for Black History Month.

Entrepreneurship

Founder office hours and pitch nights for members building businesses, side projects, and creative ventures.

Leadership

Small-cohort programs that prepare emerging leaders for boards, executive roles, and civic life.

Financial literacy

The long game — budgeting, investing, credit, debt — taught with the cultural context most courses skip.

How to plug in

Three ways to start.

You don't need a long commitment to begin. Come to one event, sign up as a mentor, or join the member channel and lurk for a while.

Step 1 · Come to something

Pick any upcoming event — cultural night, mixer, workshop — and walk in. Most members start this way.

Step 2 · Become a member

Sign up to get matched with a mentor, access the member channel, and hear about programs first.

Step 3 · Shape it

Host an event, lead a peer circle, mentor someone behind you, or help launch a chapter on your campus.
